March 10, 2018 is the date you’ve been waiting for. The Cycle’s closed beta has finally arrived and it brings a bevy of new content to explore.
The “ready or not maps” is a multiplayer FPS game that has been in closed beta for the past few weeks. The game recently released its new campaigns, activities, monsters, and map.
Do you recall the movie The Cycle? It’s a multiplayer PvPvE first-person shooter that first arrived in our corner of the gaming world in July 2018, promising “a first-person shooter with a twist” in which players join factions to complete missions, fight monsters and other players, and eventually leave the map alive to unlock new tools, upgrades, and weapons. The shooter has gone through the processes of testing, with closed alpha tests lasting until 2021 and closed beta tests beginning in September.
That brings us to today’s announcement, as well as the game’s next closed beta test, which will begin on March 10th on both the Epic Games Store and Steam. Changes to the Bright Sands and Crescent Falls areas of the map to make traversal easier, new variations of existing monsters, three new faction campaigns to guide new arrivals, and new in-match activities like the ability to call down a laser drill and defend it from attack are all included in this new beta build. There are also bug fixes and upgrades to the combat balance, opponent AI, and treasure.
In a dev blog post and a video below the break, potential participants may get a sneak peek at what’s in store for this second beta round.
