Old School RuneScape (OSRS) is a retro style MMORPG that had been offering players a retro game experience since 2007. Its name is a play off of the name how Old School RuneScape (OSRS) is played. OSRS is now offering players a new way to play the game. The Nodron Front is a new combat achievement they have been introducing to the game.

2016 has been a year full of instant-classic moments on Old School RuneScape, and this week the game’s developers revealed just how much the community has been working hard to achieve in combat. The results are impressive, with players fighting over the top spots for each and every combat achievement since the game’s launch.

It is always exciting to see what the team at Old School RuneScape will come up with next. The announcement today is definitely a surprise. With many of the recent updates to the game, including the addition of the new Sliske’s Endgame content, there has been a bit of a drought of content in the combat section. In order to combat this, we expect to see more updates released by the team in the near future.

Many gamers tend to like chasing accomplishments, therefore Old School RuneScape players who are cut from the same cloth were likely looking forward to the arrival of combat achievements this past Wednesday, which offered six levels of combat achievement carrots to pursue.

Jagex has written a long dev blog discussing player comments and planned changes, implying that the update need some tuning. A desire to wait until the dust settles from the feature’s initial launch before considering increasing rewards for more difficult achievements, plans to adjust the difficulty of certain tasks, and plans to change a few of the requirements for some of the lower tier tasks are just a few of the points worth noting.

Meanwhile, the new Elder Gods Wars dungeon, the Nodon Front, has been revealed in recent RuneScape news. This new material is referred to be the first stage of the story’s dungeon, which will be expanded upon in 2021. Players will face off against the enslaved Kerapac, an army of siege weapon-wielding Dragonkin, and high-end Slayer monsters at the Nodon Front in the hopes of obtaining “legendary” prizes such as a Codex for an improved Concentrated Blast spell and a tier 95 staff. It all drops on Monday, July 26th, but in the meanwhile, gamers can check out the trailer below for a sneak peek at what’s in store.

This week’s news includes Mac users on Steam being able to play RuneScape, new Steam DLC being available for purchase, and improvements to Davendale, the mobile version, and many other fixes in this week’s patch.
