A little over a year ago, Blacktail Studios was just another development studio that had been on the rise. From their modest beginnings in 2015 to being one of the most successful game developers on Kickstarter four years later, they have enjoyed tremendous success with “Parasight”.

Blacktail Developers The Parasight to Receive Backing from Tencent

The studio THE PARASIGHT has welcomed Tencent as a minority shareholder.

Tencent will retain complete creative and operational authority in all elements of the studio. This collaboration will assist the studio’s long-term growth and development of a best-in-class development team by providing people, projects, publishing rights, and IP ownership.

According to Bartosz Kaproń, CEO & Creative Director:

“I’m looking forward to what the future holds for our partnership—THE PARASIGHT now enters the ranks of top-tier creators with Tencent’s support.” We are a seasoned group with a young studio. Tencent’s investment in our vision, BLACKTAIL, and future initiatives, with its massive technical background and expertise, demonstrates great confidence in our team, and we want to repay that trust. Kapro, Bartosz

Tencent will provide us complete creative and operational control over all areas of the studio, including projects, talent, publishing rights, and IP ownership, while also opening doors all over the globe. The relationship is focused on assisting the studio in achieving long-term success and developing a world-class development team.

He added:

“In two years, we’ve quadrupled our development crew and created a whole new IP.” Our first franchise, which is just a few months away from becoming live, is generating interest from all throughout the business. We want BLACKTAIL to be one of the most inventive next-gen premium indie experiences in 2022, as announced on IGN Showcase and demoed at The Game Awards [email protected] demo event. Current industry backing and recent Tencent engagement suggest that further advances in that genre are possible. “We are still at the start of our trip.” Kapro, Bartosz
